I love being able to awaken a new talent that a student may have. As a mother of two, being a teacher gives me a chance to give back. I like coming to TKAE because it is really an extended family. I enjoy the extended relationship with the other staff, as well as the families. I have really liked watching the children grow and seeing their siblings come through Kol Ami as well.

I love to see a child’s eyes light up and a great big smile on their face when they learn or achieve something new. It gives me a great feeling of accomplishment to know that I am able to have an integral effect on each child’s foundation and having an influence their building blocks for years to come.

Working with children makes every single day exciting and full of laughter. I love to watch their imaginations run wile in and out of the classroom. The year before kindergarten is an important stepping-stone for a child’s education. I love to help them create a solid foundation that will hopefully transpire into a successful learning path throughout the rest of their schooling. It is remarkable to be able to witness a child’s growth and progress during our year together.
Teaching at Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El ha been a life-changing decision. My colleagues have turned into life-long friends, and many of my students have remained a huge part of my life. I enjoy coming to work each day and cannot imagine working anywhere else.

Children are like sponges – they are able to absorb everything I teach them. This gives me a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. I like my job because every day I get the joy of seeing children laugh, play and learn.
