Club 6

Club 6

In sixth grade, you have the unique opportunity to participate in events with both KATAN and Hebrew High plus other programs made just for you! Club 6 will also have a sleepover at Temple at the end of the year with the 7th and 8th graders.

Sababa Sundays:

A monthly offsite and onsite opportunity for kids in grades K through 6 to connect and have fun together both on and off the temple grounds.
This event will take place on one Sunday of each month from 12-3 p.m. and children will be divided by grade group, doing activities appropriate to their age. During these outings, children will enjoy various recreational activities led by our youth coordinators and MITs. These gatherings provide a chance for kids to build friendships and strengthen their community bonds in a fun, relaxed setting.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to engage in new experiences and enjoy time with their peers.

B’nai & B’not Mitzvah Together

B’nai:

Our Bar Mitzvah Club is a pilot program designed to prepare young men for the responsibilities and meaning of becoming B’nai Mitzvah. This weekly gathering fosters camaraderie and brotherhood among the participants, and includes a trip to NY City.

Throughout the program, students will delve into Jewish traditions, rituals, ethics, and community leadership. Each session aims to deepen their understanding and appreciation of their heritage. The ultimate goal is to empower these young men to become responsible and confident Jewish adults. At the culmination of this program, participants will participate in a ceremony together celebrating the journey.

B’not:

Our B’not Mitzvah Program offers a weekly gathering for 6th-grade girls, where they learn essential traditions and rituals, preparing them for their upcoming Bat Mitzvahs and includes a trip to NY City. Throughout this journey, students will explore the role of women in Judaism and discover the beauty of our rituals and traditions through a series of weekly sessions. Each session aims to deepen their understanding and appreciation of their heritage. At the culmination of this program, participants will celebrate their B’not Mitzvah as a group at TKAE.
