Bar/Bat/B’nai Mitzvah Club
Our Bar Mitzvah Club is a pilot program designed to prepare young men for the responsibilities and meaning of becoming B’nai Mitzvah. This weekly gathering fosters camaraderie and brotherhood among the participants, and includes a trip to NY City. Throughout the program, students will delve into Jewish traditions, rituals, ethics, and community leadership. Each session aims to deepen their understanding and appreciation of their heritage. The ultimate goal is to empower these young men to become responsible and confident Jewish adults. At the culmination of this program, participants will participate in a ceremony together celebrating the journey.
The Bnot Mitzvah Together
Our B’not Mitzvah Program offers a weekly gathering for 6th-grade girls, where they learn essential traditions and rituals, preparing them for their upcoming Bat Mitzvahs and includes a trip to NY City. Throughout this journey, students will explore the role of women in Judaism and discover the beauty of our rituals and traditions through a series of weekly sessions. Each session aims to deepen their understanding and appreciation of their heritage. At the culmination of this program, participants will celebrate their Bnot Mitzvah as a group at TKAE. The ceremony will be a testament to togetherness, friendship, and our love for Judaism. We will share stories from our journey while learning together. We will recite meaningful poems and quotes from inspirational Jewish sources, which we have studied with the guidance of our rabbi. Additionally, under the leadership of our cantor, we will joyously sing a selection of songs.
