Music at Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El
Music is at the heart of our spiritual and communal life at Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El. Under the direction of our Cantor, Rabbi Mark Goldman, we offer a vibrant and diverse musical program that enriches our worship and brings our community together.
Our music program includes a volunteer adult choir, comprised of congregants who love to sing, led by Mary Kauffman, who also serves as our accompanist and musical director. We also feature a professional women’s quartet and an instrumental quartet, both of which perform regularly during Shabbat services and the High Holidays. We regularly feature talented children and adult soloists singing from the bima during Shabbat & holiday services.
Our Junior Choir, directed by Adina Sharfstein and Ester Acunis, adds youthful energy to our community, singing during select Shabbat services, Mitzvah Day, and special events. Music is also woven into our Early Childhood Program, led by the world-renowned Ms. Tracey, fostering a love of music from the earliest years.
Our annual Shabbat Shira is a highlight of the year, celebrating the power of song in our tradition. We also host an impressive concert series, featuring performances by both homegrown talent and visiting artists, covering a wide range of Jewish, Israeli, and secular music. Last year alone, we were honored to welcome The Maccabeats and The Florida Symphony Orchestra to our community.
If you’re interested in participating in any of our musical offerings, please contact Cantor, Rabbi Mark Goldman. We welcome your voice and your spirit!
